Short and Long Term Goals

The main goal of MSV is to be seen and accepted as a job-incubating MakerSpace, with a cooperative methodology that produces financially viable businesses in a timely manner… revitalizing communities, commercializing both new and old technologies and generating an earned wealth ownership for both its stakeholders and stockholders.

                                           Longer term goals include:
 

  • Expand individual and clustered businesses, to provide family sustainable wage jobs
  • Provide business assistance in developing all forms of cooperative programs.
  • Promote community participation concepts in every new wealth productive field.

  • Provide and manage operations and capital assets that promote community economic development options… not now available from the private sector.
  • Recruit social, civic and governmental entities to expand support of MSV endeavors.
  • Increase MSV recognition as a significant local provider of quality goods and services throughout the Puget Sound Region.
  • Connect with every regional organization… share our goals… the common good

Immediate Needs and Actions:

  • A start-up work site location for staff, MSV founders, and first client/participants.
  • Establish a close relationship with all friendly regionally owned businesses.
  • Expand access to volunteer legal and business experts… counselors and mentors.
  • Take an inventory of existing and alternative fund sources of capital and investors.
  • Gain access to start-up educational programs offered by colleges and universities.
  • Make a connection with all existing private and commercial business incubators.
  • Establish $1 a day for 365 days equity start-up fund, from initial 1000 members
